# Presets

A preset decides how the generated project looks: shadcn style, color tokens, fonts, radius and the hero accents. Pick one with `--preset <id>` or in the prompt.

## Available

| Preset | Look |
| --- | --- |
| `monochrome` | Black and white, square corners, IBM Plex and JetBrains Mono. Quiet and technical. This site uses it |
| `clay` | Warm terracotta and sand, rounded corners, Fraunces headings. Earthy and friendly |
| `editorial` | Ink on paper with a single red accent, near-square corners, Playfair headings. Print feel |
| `midnight` | Deep blue-black with a cool electric accent, Space Grotesk headings. Dark first |
| `soft` | Pastel orchid and mint, very round corners, Nunito and Quicksand. Gentle and playful |

## Anatomy

Each preset is a folder in `presets/`. Adding a preset is adding a folder, the cli lists whatever it finds.

On `create`, the cli copies `theme.css` into `packages/ui/src/styles/theme.css` and applies the fonts and shadcn style. To change the look after generation, see [customizing the theme](https://plate.findmalek.engineer/docs/theming.md).
