# Status

The `status` module adds a public `/status` page to `apps/web`. It calls `status.services`, which checks the database and pings the web and dashboard. It is off by default.

```bash
findplate create my-app --modules status
```

## What it adds

Files and folders:

- `packages/orpc/src/routers/status.ts`
- `apps/web/app/status`

## Env keys

```bash
WEB_URL=
DASHBOARD_URL=
```

Each check has a 3 second timeout. Both urls are already part of the base `.env`.

## Remove

Run `findplate remove status` in the project, see [add and doctor](https://plate.findmalek.engineer/docs/add-doctor.md#findplate-remove). It deletes the files the module owns, strips its code from shared files and drops its packages, only where you haven't edited them.

If you'd rather do it by hand: for a new project leave `status` out of `--modules`. In a project that already exists, delete the paths above, drop its packages from the `package.json` files, remove its env block and fix what `pnpm check-types` reports.

## Swap

Add a service by adding a check in `packages/orpc/src/routers/status.ts`. For uptime history from outside your own infra, point a hosted monitor at `/status`.
