The ai module adds packages/ai and a summarize button in the dashboard. It wires the Vercel AI SDK to Groq, OpenAI or Anthropic. It is on by default.
findplate create my-app --modules aiWhat it adds
Files and folders:
packages/aiapps/dashboard/components/summarize-button.tsx
Packages:
@acme/aiai@ai-sdk/anthropic@ai-sdk/groq@ai-sdk/openai
Env keys
AI_MODEL=groq:openai/gpt-oss-120b
GROQ_API_KEY=
OPENAI_API_KEY=
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=AI_MODEL is provider:model. resolveModel(id, keys) registers only the providers that have a key and returns null for an unknown or unkeyed one, so a missing key turns the feature off.
Remove
Run findplate remove ai in the project, see add and doctor. It deletes the files the module owns, strips its code from shared files and drops its packages, only where you haven't edited them.
If you'd rather do it by hand: for a new project leave ai out of --modules. In a project that already exists, delete the paths above, drop its packages from the package.json files, remove its env block and fix what pnpm check-types reports.
Swap
Change AI_MODEL and set the matching key, for example anthropic:claude-sonnet-4-5 with ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. To add another provider, install its @ai-sdk/* package and register it in packages/ai/src/index.ts. Langfuse traces the calls.
